We sent out some feelers about some positions at OneMinuteNews.com. We're working on a bunch of updates and anticipate the need to beef up the crew a bit. We've received a ton of submissions so thank you very much for the interest and desire to work here. Due to the overwhelming response we've got a solution in mind. We're hatching the plan so stay tuned...

What type of news do you cover?

While we try to cover it all, babies born in snow storms and talking cats don't make the cut here. We focus only on the significant and shifting stories. In addition to current news we try to take you around the world a bit, bring you the back stories that define people and places, including ideas or provocative questions that are worth discussing.

We want to educate and guide people through the news. Turning news into conversation makes it human. We ask simple to complex questions, weigh all sides and react naturally to things that concern or interest us. We always love to hear what you think about us. If anything's missing in your mind, let us know!

How often is news updated?

It really depends on what's going on! Though, there are many things that we will also cover. We are touring through our generation right now, drawing content from a lot of things on our mind. All of us here care about the broad news events going on, but we're all very passionate about different things. We will be providing some content that explores people, leaders, the way things are structured or the way things work.

Who are the correspondents?

If you haven't stopped by to see the crew yet you can get a little background from all of them. We are an eclectic bunch from different places with different passions. Visit "The Crew" and let each of us give you a little background.

What is the roadmap?

This is where we give you a heads up on some of the things we're working on. The items closer to 100% indicate things we've been working on and are close to completion. Further down the list are some things that are just underway and even things we're considering adding at some point. This way you get a glimpse on some things you may like to see that we've already considered. If you don't, be sure to leave some feedback and let us know what you'd like to make your experience at OneMinuteNews.com better.

What do I get by signing up to OneMinuteNews?

The only thing you can't do without a membership is participate in our guided commentary, Your Reaction. We never want to limit access to features or content but given online feedback's nasty reputation for icky and derogatory behavior, we hope by asking you to speak through your email/Twitter alias will add a little accountability to our conversations here at OneMinuteNews.

Other membership benefits is that when we do finish our Roadmap items we'll let you know. When we complete our social community as you will begin to see levels of customization to your experience, including more dynamic interaction between members as well as preferences to streamline your OneMinuteNews.

Can I submit content?

Not right now. Once we build our news community members will be able to push their content through community channels. If by chance you have some footage that you think we absolutely must see, post it to YouTube or Vimeo (anywhere) and tell us where to look!

How do I leave feedback or suggestions for OneMinuteNews.com?

There are a few ways to do this. First you can leave feedback in our forum by clicking the tab on the right hand side of the browser. The same feedback link is in our footer navigation. We also have a contact form that you can use to leave a message regarding anything... questions, input, suggestions etc.

I keep trying to sign up but never get an authorization email!

Be sure to check your junk folder. Most email programs are so beefed up they think this sort of email is a scam so please be sure to look in that folder. If you still don't see it, let us know!

How Does Sharing Work?

If you want to share our content you have a few choices. Beyond the typical Facebook and Twitter sharing, you can copy/paste a video URL/address in an email to someone or choose from the loooong list of +AddThis bookmark and sharing options. If there's a way to share it, you can find it.

What's the deal with email updates?

It might seem that email updates include news content from OneMinuteNews.com but it's only to keep you informed about changes we make or new features that come to our site. In our next phase you'll be able to subscribe to our RSS feed for constant news updates. One place we do have constant updates is on our Facebook account.

Why all the fields in the member profile?

Only the email, name and password fields are required to show up. The other fields don't matter much right now but once we build the news community and you start curating or sharing content, you may want to have more about you and who you are visible to those with whom you connect. Even then you will have complete freedom to pick and choose the fields associated with your profile.

I'm having playback issues.

We are aware that there have been video playback issues. We're not very happy about this and know you aren't either; we are fixing it as we speak. We're sorry about any poor playback performance that's affected your experience on oneminutenews.com.

I'm experiencing technical problems. What gives?!

A lot of this depends on how you're accessing OneMinuteNews.com. The best way to address any issues you may be having is to get some info regarding your experience.

Let us know what device you're using and any details about your browser type (ex. Firefox, Safari, Chrome, IE (Internet Explorer) and especially the version of that browser.

How do I cancel membership or delete my profile?

Just log in and to the right of your picture/profile you'll see a brown button where you can delete your profile... but you won't because you love us.
