A valid driver’s license is required to drive in UAE

While the fundamentals of driving a vehicle remain the same, driving a large vehicle, such as a truck, tractor, or trailer, needs a higher level of efficiency and ability, particularly while navigating and managing the vehicle. This course will teach you how to start, balance, and position a heavy truck, as well as the functions and purposes of the gears, how to use the clutch, brake, accelerator, and dashboard, road markings and signals, lane changing, vehicle control, anticipation and reaction, courtesy to other road users, and legal restrictions and obligation.

Students who complete the Heavy Vehicles and Trucks course will be prepared for the RTA Driving Test, which will allow them to obtain a UAE Driving License category 4. Students who complete this course and pass the RTA Driving Tests are eligible to drive heavy trucks.

The weight of a heavy truck must be greater than 2.5 tonnes.

In Dubai, anybody above the age of 18 can apply for a driver’s licence. Probationary licence are available to people between the ages of 18 and 21. The RTA must receive an application for a driver’s licence in Arabic (Road and Traffic Authority). The

authorized driving schools in Dubai will handle everything for you. The RTA grants a temporary license based on this application, which must be carried at all times throughout the course.

Students who have previously failed the final RTA road test at another institute are eligible to enroll for a minimum of four hours.

If it has been more than 60 days since their last class, every student moving in from another school will be asked to complete an evaluation exam.

There is no opportunity to enroll for automatic transmission because all training is done in manual automobiles.

  • Go to your selected driving school to register your application and open a file once you’ve acquired these papers.
  • Before taking an exam, you must first attend theoretical courses for at least eight hours. After that, you must take practical driving lessons and pass a driving school evaluation.
  • RTA testing is conducted in designated yards as well as on the road. If you fail these tests five times in a row, you’ll need to attend extra classes to reapply.
  • If you take two classes per weekend and pass all of your exams the first time, the Dubai motorcycle license application procedure might take two months.

How to ace the RTA Exam:

  • If you pass the internal examinations, you will be scheduled for two RTA tests by the driving school. One on the road and one in the yard once more. You will be able to ride a truck in Dubai, if you pass the exam. You must reschedule your exam if you fail. If you fail the RTA exam five times, you’ll have to take further classes before retaking it.
